Just because you can…doesn’t mean you should…

Here’s a great example of a kettlebell exercise that really serves no purpose other than stroking the performers ego. There are other, perhaps better ways of training your “core” that have a much lower risk to benefit ratio.
I didn’t create this picture, I don’t endorse it and I actaully recommend against. But boys will be boys…I understand but don’t go blaming kettlebell training when you mess up your body.

Yeah I saw that too and all I could think of was how idiotic that is. I can jump off a cliff without a rope too, but it doesn’t mean I will.
Wow that is a really (excuse my language) Stupid move.
I bet you that some is going to say “that is really cool I bet I can do it” and then end up get hurt and blame the Kettlebells.
I can’t believe some one would actually do that. Especially if you read the shirt and see who they are representing… Bad Move I would have to say.
I prefer the single leg version of that stupid move. Better for my core
Well, if you look closely, he is wearing a Crossfit t-shirt….
good thing i gave up my crossfit affiliation!
Have you seen the one of the guy doing pushups on bricks with a kettlebell dangling from his mouth?
@ Jason Yun, I have seen that pic…maybe I’ll post that next. I have a video I think you’ll enjoy coming up.
@ Rob….you too. Good move.
@ Stehle….in your speedo?
So how do you set that one up? Cuz kettlebells don’t just hold themselves upside down.
Ya know, if I workout alone that is.
I bet the kettle balls are glued together?
haha too funny, and I agree. DONT!
Do you mean not to do that??????? I was thinking I would have all my athletes do that today…..NOT! I am all for some balance and stability training but not complete stupidity!
It’s got to be a PhotoShop trick!
Someone is always trying to do the extreme. What a dummy!
Leopard skin Speedo!
Wow… it doesn’t get much dumber or more useless than that.
Or maybe I have it all wrong and I should have every one of my 50+ year old lawyer clients do this. It’s a functional exercise, right?
i can see he’s wearing a shirt with a “n.y.c” logo on it.
EHH….yeah dumb and I’m also not impressed.
