Starting Strength can be defined simply as your ability to turn-on or recruit as many muscle fibers as possible in the shortest amount of time and is an essential quality for athletic development and sport skill.
Throwing a powerful punch or crushing a killer broad jump are examples of starting strength.
Below is our Top 5 Kettlebell Exercises for Startining Strength.
Your list may differ….if so, I’d love to hear your list so please let me know within the comment section below. Enjoy.

Jason; I would definitely want to add your Band Resisted Kettlebell Swing to that list!
It’s a phenomenal ‘plyometric’ exercise for hip power.
Hey Jason,
That is a great drill but not really for starting strength IMO. What are your thoughts?
Excellent choices…I was going to add the PowerBomb or Band Swing, too.
How about this one? Sometimes we add a split squat to the Snatch. For example, start the Snatch as usual with the right hand, and end in a split squat (reverse lunge position) with the right leg back…1 explosive movement.
Hey Matt,
I love Split Snatches! Excellent choice. Thanks for the input.
Yo, new facility? Looks Nice!
When are you coming down?
Obrigado irmao. I was trying for July, agora nao tenho ideia.

Dude, I like the extended versions with the small plyo boxes. Forgot about that one. I’m also partial to the dead clean and dead snatch with the bell elevated on a plyo box.
Peace
Yeah Mike, I’m glad you like the dead clean and snatches. Glad to know I’m in good company.
